Booking-rate gap calculator
Your goal booking rate minus where you are now, times your leads, times what one opportunity is worth. That is the money the phones are leaving on the table.
Your numbers
Don't trust your current rate? Work it out →
Count leads by the month they came in, not the month they booked. Take warranty calls and promotional (outbound) calls out of both numbers, or the rate comes out inflated.

What the phones leave on the table

Count it the way it should be counted
- Booking rate is booked jobs divided by qualified opportunities: people with a need who called or submitted a form.
- Take out warranty calls and promotional calls (the office calling existing customers for maintenance). Leave them in and the rate comes out inflated.
- Count a lead in the month it came in, not the month it finally booked. Otherwise you can start a month above 100%.
- A cancelled job isn't a booking failure. It's a dispatch problem. It does matter later, for conversion rate, because a cancelled job was never a chance to sell.
